Ahmad is recognized as one of the first U.S. military interpreters from Afghanistan to immigrate to Charlotte, North Carolina, in 2014. After years of dedicated service alongside the United States military, he began a new chapter in America with a strong commitment to helping others.

As Vice President, Mohammad is responsible for planning, coordination, and overseeing operations — following up on approved decisions, managing staff, resolving organizational issues, reporting to the Director, and improving the Association’s performance to advance its mission, goals, and continued development. He also helps lead cultural, educational, and charitable activities, supporting the planning and implementation of programs, contributing to charitable initiatives, and strengthening members’ social engagement and community participation.

Abdul Fawad Sohrabi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and has a diverse background in engineering and humanitarian service. He served for five years as an interpreter with the United States Embassy in Afghanistan. After relocating to the United States, he worked as a Program Coordinator with The Independence Fund (TIF), assisting newly arrived refugees with resettlement and integration. He also served as a Survey Party Chief with United Infrastructure Group (UIG) and currently holds the same position at Encompass Energy Services.

As Treasurer of the Maihan Association of Charlotte, he oversees the organization’s financial affairs — maintaining accurate records, managing membership contributions, preparing financial reports, monitoring income and expenses, and assisting with budget planning — supporting the Association’s charitable, educational, and cultural initiatives through responsible financial management.

Zemaray Khani serves as Assistant to the Vice President at the Maihan Association of Charlotte. In this role he provides comprehensive administrative and organizational support to the Vice President, ensuring effective coordination and the smooth operation of executive functions across the Association’s cultural, educational, charitable, and community-development work.

Feraidon Nawrozi has more than 25 years of professional experience across military service, construction, logistics, and military tailoring. He completed his education through the 12th grade and has worked with Doctors Without Borders (MSF), DDR Construction at Bagram Airfield, and the Logistics and Procurement Department at Baran Camp. After relocating to the United States, he worked in the tailoring industry in Charlotte, North Carolina, for four years and is currently an Operator at Thermal Control Products.

As Assistant Treasurer of the Maihan Association of Charlotte, he actively supports the Association’s cultural, educational, and social programs, and is committed to community service, transparency, cooperation, and strengthening unity within the community.
